Back to Album List
- Over the years I have done a lot of walking apart from my long distance walks and have taken a large number of photos which may be of interest to other walkers.
- Photos from earlier walks prior to 2003 were taken on film as slides which tend to give poor results when scanned with anything other than a professional scanner, so I have only shown ones which were taken digitally. As I have lived in North Wales since 2000, the majority of walks have been in Wales except for those taken whilst on various holidays.
- Some of these photo albums relate to one particular walk whilst others are collections of photos from several walks in the general area. Where there is a specific walk or walks, an interactive O.S. map is also shown.
- Image sizes have been reduced to approximately 800px wide by 600px high in order to avoid excessive download time with slow internet or network speeds.
- To maximise the viewing size of pictures on small screens the arrangement of headings, buttons and thumbnails adjusts to the viewing area on the screen and changes as the screen is changed between portrait and landscape.
- On screens in landscape mode some of the image may be lost at the bottom of the screen but the full page can be seen by either dragging the page upwards or by clicking the 'Fullscreen Mode' button.
- On large screens, the display adjusts to fit the window as much as possible. This means that the images are enlarged to more than their original size and therefore will not be very sharp on close inspection.
- The copyright of these photos belong to George Tod. However, these may be used by anyone for non-commercial purposes provided a credit is given (Photo: George Tod). The use of photographs for Educational or Charitable purposes is also permitted as well as for anything that promotes walking routes, services connected with walking or mountain rescue.
- High Resolution Copies of any of the photos can be obtained by contacting the George Tod at the e-mail address below. Please note that some of the photos are not as sharp as would be desired and this can often be seen in the reduced size copies. In that case the higher resolution copies may not give much improvement.
